Abstract:

Nowadays researches show that empowerment is the facilitating factor in response to the environmental changes and one of the useful result is increase of loyalty of the personnel to the organization. The current research investigates the relationship between psychological empowerment and organizational commitment of the personnel Research method is descriptive –correlative. The statistical sample includes 234 of the personnel of Rasht City University of Medical Sciences that have been selected by random sampling and with use of Morgan’s table. The research results show that there is a significant relation between psychological empowerment and organizational commitment of the personnel and the subsidiary hypotheses except the feeling of competence. Also there is a significant relationship between psychological empowerment and organizational commitment of personnel only with a view to education.
