Abstract:
The electrochemical coagulation technique (EC) and potentiodynamic polarization tests almost were used for massive molecules, however, this technique is fewer used to antibiotics removal. In this paper the electrocoagulation/flotation process performance by using aluminum electrode in a continuous electrochemical reactor was studied. This study compared the four parameters for degrading ciprofloxacin such as: pH, Temperature, current density and flow rate and in final, this factors were optimized. In this research, In order to find suitable condition for process, at first, the preliminary experiments we did and optimal condition for Ciprofloxacin degradation was found. This study focuses on the use of continuous systems, they are better suitable to industrial processes for large effluent volumes. Finally the optimizing range was investigated at pH=6.6 and T=20.0 °C and current density=6.0 mA/cm2 and V =30.0 ml/min. The maximum amount of pollutant removal in optimal conditions for final experiment, 89% respectively and COD removal 78% were showed.
