A novel method to reduce consumption of lighting control systems using intelligent networks architecture

Public lighting represents a billionaire expense per year for the government, part of this caused by an inefficient external lighting system. In this paper, we describe a self- anaging public lighting system with wireless communication and low power consumption. The system is connected in a mesh network and communicates with a central from where the devices can be programmed; creating an intelligent network that reduces the expenses of energy.
