خلاصه مقاله:
The current research was carried out with the aim of comparing superstitions, mental health, emotional intelligence and self-esteem in pregnant mothers and comparing it with normal mothers. The statistical population includes pregnant mothers who have consulted Farabi therapy centers in Mahabad and normal mothers who reside in the city of Mahabad. The random sampling method was used to select the sample of 50 pregnant and 50 normal mothers. In this study, to collect data the questionnaire includes 24 items that deals with superstitious situations, and the 90-item Bar-on Emotional Quotient Inventory, Goldberg 28 question general health questionnaire and the Copper Smith 58 question self-esteem questionnaire were used. Data were analyzed by the correlation coefficient statistical test and independent t. Findings indicate that there is no significant relation between the mental health, emotional intelligence and selfesteem and belief in superstitions among pregnant and normal mothers. It is also revealed that there is no significant difference between the superstitions, emotional intelligence and self-esteem of pregnant mothers and normal mothers. Finally, it is also revealed that there is no significant difference between the physical signs, anxiety, social performance and depression of pregnant mothers and normal mothers.
