A Survey on the Effect of Gender on Apology Making

Gender has different impacts on the process of language leaning and production and is a source of diversification among male and female. This study examines whether or not sex differences affect the expression of apologies among men and women. Descriptive method was used in this research. This study investigated the similarities and differences of the degree of formality or informality of apology between two groups of subjects. it was concluded from the data gathered through questionnaires in bar graphs that females tend to apologize in a much more formal way than males.
