Abstract:

The present research aims to analyze the content of the books Let's study of the elementary fourth and five grades. Of the books mentioned, all the pages of the books were considered as the statistical population, then the whole book was divided into three equal parts, and from each part 100 words were randomly selected as the sample. Then, based on the Gunning readability index data were analyzed and the following results were obtained. The written texts of each of the parts (first-middle-last) of the elementary fourth and five grades books are difficult, and their readability level is high. Also, the written texts of all the books in question in terms of readability were at a higher level than the age level and comprehension level of the students. In other words, the texts for the students of this level were difficult, creating difficulty for the students to understand and learn their contents
