Genetic algorithm (GA) and ASPEN PLUS have been developed to estimate the binary interaction parameters of the UNIQUAC activity coefficient model for liquid–liquid extraction system. Both of these methods were compared with experimental data. It can be seen that GA has a betteragreement than ASPEN PLUS simulator. To show the accuracy of GA, root mean square deviation (RMSD) has been reported
