Abstract:
A series of experiments were carried out by mixture of methanol and water as feed of methanol to propylene process. The experiments were done at three various temperatures and weight hourly space velocity (WHSV) of methanol was 4.25 hr-1. With the usage of mole fractions of the mainproducts such as methane,ethane, ethylene, propylene, propane, four and five carbonated hydrocarbons that were obtained from gas chromatography (GC) analysis, a mechanism of reaction in the case of lumped model was developed for the methanol to propylene process. The behavior of isothermal, fixed bed and plug flow reactor was mathematically modeled and genetic algorithm was used for estimating kinetic parameters.
