Literature is based on human cultures and societies. It can make the process of development happen more quickly and expediting its sustainability. Literature reflects the weak and strong points of cultures that may decelerate or accelerate the process of sustainable development. This study aims at investigating the effects of those cultural differences that hinder sustainable relationships among the characters of Forster‟s novels. The researcher makes use of comparative methodology to scrutinize the reciprocal relationship between cultural environment and sustainable development. To conclude, Forster‟s novels reveal the cultural gaps among the nations that must be filled by mutual understanding and tolerance. His literary works make the readers notice their faults and help them to promote their personalities and speeding up the global harmony
