Abstract:

A field experiment was laid out in order to evaluate the effect of supplementary irrigation and application of different amounts of Zn and K fertilizers on macro and micro elements and grain yield of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) at Campus of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Razi University Kermanshah, Iran, during 2009. The Properties of chickpea plant in field condition, a split plot-factorial experiment were based on randomized complete blocks design with threereplications. The main-plot was Supplementary irrigation (I1) and non irrigation (I0). The sub- plot included four levels of Zn (0, 20, 40 and 60kg/ha) and three levels of K (0, 50 and 100kg/ha) fertilizers. The results showed that the effect of irrigation, Zn fertilizer and interaction of IZnK treatments on the amount of Zn in grain and grain yield were only significant. Moreover, the effect of K fertilizer interaction of ZnK treatments was significant on all traits. The effect of interaction between irrigation and Zn fertilizer was only significant on the amount of Zn in chickpea grain. The results of this study showed that maximum production of chickpea grain yield was recorded for upplementary irrigation condition and was followed by application of Zn and K fertilizers. Also, results showed that application of 60kg/ha Zn and 50kg/ha K fertilizers had better effect on amount of Zn in grains. This study showed that with increase in application of K fertilizer and decrease in application of Zn fertilizer K% in grains were increased.
