خلاصه مقاله:
Fuzzy logic (FL) introduction has produced a strong tool which provides engineers with incorporating human reasoning in control systems. Unlike classical control theories which are based on mathematical models, fuzzy logic design or fuzzy logic controller is independent of system’s mathematical model and it is mostly according to human reasoning methods which can be programmed into fuzzy logic language (membership function, etc.). Fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is one of the fuzzy logic’s subcategories which has adaptive characteristics and can result in reliable response for systems with high uncertainty, parameter variation and load disturbance. Nowadays fuzzy logic’s concept has been developed and some other intelligent soft computing methods like neural network has been embedded into fuzzy logic and some new methods such as neuro- fuzzy systems has been invented. This study was aimed to review FL applications in offshore structures especially in offshore platforms’ engineering. These kinds of structures, on one hand, are exposed to high uncertain conditions as they are under variable or stochastic loadings and on the other hand they are strategic structures and deserve devoting high cost and time in order to assure their serviceability and safety.
