خلاصه مقاله:
Global and national markets interest have been rising for medicinal herbs, and significant economic benefits are being recognized through the trading medicinal plant products. This paper aims to provide an overview of the key factors affecting on developing medicinal plant commerce and export in Iran. The current status of the high value medicinal and aromatic plant business in Iran can be improved through research institutions contribution to help the plant growers, establish supportive government legislation, cost-effective price levels, access to appropriate agro-techniques, availability of qualified manpower, investment and advertisement, access to an expert for marketing, transportation, management loyalty, proper packaging, familiarity on world’s requirements and currency fluctuation. Such developments would be crucial if Iran is going to promote its position as a worldwide supplier of medicinal and aromatic plants
