Radial Basis Function Neural Network Based Directional Over current Relay

A neural network based on Radial Basis Function (RBF) for the protection of over current relay is presented in this paper. The proposed model is off line tested using different simulation equations for over current and voltage under fault conditions to evaluate the performance of the proposed method in terms of accuracy and speed. The proposed ANN based directional over current relay shows promising dependability, security and speed of operation.
