Abstract:
Wastewaters from textile, paper, and some other industries contain residual dyes, which are not readily biodegradable. The removal of organic dye methyl orange (MO) from aqueous solution by adsorption process onto the expanded perlite (EP) in semi batch packed bed reactor was done [1]. The effective parameters on removal of MO by adsorption process, which included the flow rate of solution (Q), initial concentration of MO (C0), contact time, pH and temperature (T), were investigated. It was found that the MO wastewater was feasibly removed by designed semi batch packed bed reactor process.
