A simple and precise HPLC method was developed and validated for the determination of Biotin 5mg in pharmaceutical dosage forms. Chromatography was carried out on MZ- C18 (5μm, 4.6mm×25cm) column using a mixture of Buffer: Acetonitrile (80:20%) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 (ml/min)-1.The analyte was monitored using UV detector at 210 nm. The proposed method is found to be having linearity in the concentration range of 3-15 (μg/mL)-1 with correlation coefficient of r2=0.9999. The developed method has been statistically validated and found simple and accurate. The mean recoveries obtained for Biotin 5mg are in the range 90.0-110.0 %. Due to its simplicity, rapidness, high precision and accuracy of the proposed method it may be used for determining Biotin 5mg in bulk and dosage forms.
