خلاصه مقاله:
This study intends to find out the effectiveness of video and animation on learningvocabulary. This experiment was executed at Pardis Memar Higher Education College inBandar_E_Abbas, Iran, in 2014. It consists of two classes as experimental and control class, atotal of 39 pre-intermediate students. All students took a pre-test and a post-test two weeksbefore and after the experiment. The results demonstrate that there is no striking deferencebetween post-tests of each class, but there is an advancement in post-test scores of experimentalgroup, compared with the pre-test result. This increase infers how effective the multimedia is invocabulary learning. Video and animation are described as effective stimuli for learningvocabulary. Additionally, video and animation cause inattention for students if the content is notselected carefully by teachers. Multimedia can be used beside traditional methods in order tomotivate students.
