Abstract:

This study examined the relationship between teachers’ self-efficacy and itssubconstructs including instructional strategies, classroom management, and studentengagement with job satisfaction. Subjects were 75 female EFL teachers. The methodologyutilized in this study was quantitative. It was non-experimental, exploratory andcorrelational survey in nature. The findings of this study showed there was a positiverelationship between self-efficacy and job satisfaction. Likewise, teachers with greatersatisfaction had greater self-efficacy in all three efficacy subconstructs. More precisely,efficacy in classroom management showed the highest correlation with job satisfaction, butmoderate correlation in student engagement and in instructional strategy respectively. Dueto the effect of teachers’ sense of self-efficacy and satisfaction on effective teaching andlearning, all teachers and authorities benefit from these findings as well as EFL teachers andlearners.
