Abstract:
One of the important issues that many teachers are dealing with is to choose a more efficient assessment way ofreading: Formative, Summative and Diagnostic. This paper is to study and find a better possible way ofassessing reading comprehension skills in Iranian EFL learners. For this purpose, in the current survey study,30 teachers were selected from different English departments such as institutes and universities to offer theirideas about these three methods, they were asked to suggest one that worked good for them. The questionnaireincluded 10 rating type questions and a descriptive question. The results of the study showed that FormativeAssessment can be considered as a more efficient way to evaluate student's reading comprehension skills.
