Abstract:

There are many attempts in most teacher education programs around the world to informpracticing and prospective L2 teachers about second language acquisition (SLA) research and itsfindings. However, an important question in this context is to what extent SLA research has beenable to influence L2 teaching? The results of this study shows there are a variety of viewsregarding the relevance of SLA research to language teaching.
