Abstract:
Varkane is a village which has been made by stone and it has tried to adapt to and interact with the climate through using native materials. We have tried to examine the relationship between climate and architecture and its relation with native materials of Varkane village in this article. This article studies the key points of housing model by climate approach through using native materials relying on descriptive- analytical methods and collecting necessary information through secondary and field studies, using the information of the village conductor plan booklet, visiting the place, plotting residential buildings and analyzing buildings to state the housing model with climate adaptation. By physical examination of the texture and the buildings, this article concludes the adaptation of housing with climate. Factors affecting forming villages, physical characteristics of Varkane and analysis of the plotted buildings have been done in the form of table by stating the relationship between climate and architecture, and between climate and Hamedan architecture.
