So far, many studies have been made on Persepolis with the respect of archeology and semeiology views. In spite of the high features in the manufacturing industry which has been moving ahead of its time in modern times has been neglected. On the other hand, despite the introduction of sustainability issues in the present day, we find that all principals of using clean energy and reliance on natural resources by the earliest architects, were conducted without any deficiencies. But by entering the era of consumerism these principles have gradually been forgotten. In the present survey, it is assumed that it could be explained the effects and the manner of these three categories in evaluation of Persepolis by studying the evidence which reflect the climate status of the region in 500 BC. In the other hand, regardless of the symbolization which is stemmed from the ritual perspective, is it possible to bring such a claim that the layout of buildings in platform of Persepolis could be one of the oldest structural patterns of sustainable in architecture and urbanization in Iran? And how much these guidelines are accordance with the sustainable standards of the modern architecture? In this debate on the basis of the opinions around this historic town and the other sources and considering of its three-dimensional pattern, consistent and conflicts of the guidelines for sustainability of Persepolis will be presented by in compare with the attributes of what is now called modern sustainable architecture.
