Abstract:

Today the renewable energy resources are gaining considerable attention due to the limitation of fossil energy sources and the problems caused by greenhouse gas emissions. The energy consumption Pattern in the industrialized countries and the figures concerning the emission of carbon dioxide gas in the world suggests more emphasis on the optimization issues. Human and the environment are always interacting with each other. The role of urban environment is critical in human attitude and behavior toward his surrounding environment, because there is a reciprocal relationship between attitudes and behaviors. The purpose of this paper is to design urban energy landscapes through changing behavioral attitudes toward the consumption pattern. This article is based on library studies through the descriptive analysis method. It deals with human behavior in the environment, behavior-based attitudes and seeking the ways of changing these attitudes, through proper designing of energy landscapes, such as improving the perception and capabilities of the environment. The results show that the energy-producing infrastructures can be considered a part of the urban landscape. In addition to producing local electricity, Energy landscapes can be a place for learning, social interaction and enhancing the community vitality. This can be achieved by improved capabilities and perception of the environment. Proper designing creates positive changes in behavioral attitudes of the community toward the efficient use of energy and renewable resources. The designed Examples of this type landscapes include Land art generator initiative which has created attractive energy landscapes through improving functional and aesthetic capabilities.
