Investigating factors Effective on Climatic Designing of Residential Complexes (case study of 133-unit residential complex in district 4 of Tehran)

Nowadays the importance and necessity of paying attention to climatic conditions in designing and constructing is important in two concepts: In one hand, buildings compatible with climate or buildings with climatic designing have better quality in terms of thermal comfort. On the other hand compatibility of building with climatic condition leads to save in consumption of energy required for controlling environmental conditions of such buildings. Therefore climatic designing is a strategy to achieve thermal comfort which minimizes energy consumption through mechanical tools. Therefore one of the important and effective factors in architecture is energy. Energy is important from several points of view the first of which is the intensification of economic issue of energy, distribution of greenhouse gasses, its role in procedure of global heating, and depletion of the ozone layer. Heating of earth and climatic changes are consequences of distribution of greenhouse gasses resulted from burning fossil fuels to provide energy and building sector especially residential complexes have major share in consumption rate of this energy. Therefore building industry should move toward higher responsibility about environment. Finally it is possible to say that paying attention to major objectives of climatic designing in each climatic region and predicting some issues to realize these objectives will lead to compatibility and accordance of buildings with climatic conditions and save in energy consumption. In this research using analytical-descriptive research method and through studying various references, it has been tried to provide some principles to design building according to climatic conditions.
