Abstract:
In this paper controlling and decreasing of fatigue crack propagation in an ASTM A53 grade B has been considered by XFEM simulation and using Paris law. The plate has been simulated asymmetrically. By using XFEM simulation, the shape of crack propagation and the value of crack propagation after and before using three epoxy composites (Glass epoxy, Born epoxy, Grafi Epoxy) has been calculated and the effect of each epoxy composite on the crack propagation has been investigated. The XFEM simulation results are compared with the obtained results of Paris law theory formula. Finally the performance of different epoxy composites and their difference with the result of Paris law are presented.
