The major data related to the wave prediction models is the wind field parameters. Consequently,the wind field prediction models are essential. In this regard, different wind predictionmodels were developed such as the models developed by European Centre for Medium rangeWeather Prediction (ECMWF) and National Center for Environmental Prediction/ClimateForecast System Reanalysis (NCEP/CFSR).
