A new and efficient synthesis of phthalazine-triones drivatives from the threecomponent condensation reaction of phthalhydrazid, dimedone and aromatic aldehydes using nano alumina sulfonic acid (NASA) and poly vinyl sulfunic acid (PVSA) as solid acid catalysts is described. The remarkable features of this procedure are mild reaction conditions, good to excellent yields, short reaction times and operational simplicity
