Sulfonamide-functionalized NaYnanozeolite has been investigated as an efficient catalyst for the synthesis of formamides at room temperature. This method has the advantages of high yields, mild conditions, simple methodology, easy work up and short reaction times.The nanozeolite was recovered and reused several times without the significant loss of its catalytic performance. The catalyst was characterized by different techniques such as powder XRD, TGA–DTA, SEM and FT-IR spectroscopy.
