Abstract:
in this work, we produced electrospun nanofibers yarn from casein which is not possible with conventionalspinning systems. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) was used with the casein as auxiliary polymer to allow spinning of casein.Optimal conditions including process parameters such as voltage, feed rate, distance between two nozzles and solutionparameters including concentration and blending ratio was optimized. Morphological structure of PVA/casein withblending ratio 70/30 with different PVA concentration was investigated. Results showed increase of PVA enhance themorphological structure. PVA (10 wt %) / casein (10 wt %) 30/70 was the best composition that produced yarn withsmooth structure and minimum bead in its structure.
