Abstract:

A one-step, non-templated, electrodeposition methods for the growth of three-dimensional goldnanodendrites on a gold substrate was developed. Electrodeposition was performed in an AuCl4--containing solution inthe presence of histidine or lysine as an additive. The additive played a vital role in the morphology of the goldnanostructures. In order to study the electrocatalytic activity, electroreduction of hydrogen peroxide (as a modelcompound) on the gold nanodendrites was studied in phosphate buffer solution, pH = 7.4. The nanodendrites representedthe advantages of high catalytic activity and sensitivity toward the electroreduction of hydrogen peroxide.
