Abstract:

A novel magnetic nano composite beads composed of magnetic chitosan and graphene oxide (MCGO) wereprepared as the magnetic adsorbent. The magnetic composite bioadsorbent was characterized by FTIR and SEMmeasurements . At first chitin was extracted from Caspian sea ,s gammrus by demineralization, deproteination anddecolourisation. Then chitin was deacetylated using 50% sodium hydroxide and converted to chitosan(CS). CS is abiopolymer having biocompatibility, biodegradability and non-toxicibility properties. Fe3O4 was prepared by copreciptionmethod. Grapheme oxide was synthesize by Hummers method. The influence of various analytical parameterson the adsorption of safranin such as pH, contact time, and dosage of adsorbent were studied in detail. The study suggeststhat the MCGO is a promising nanoadsorbent for removal of safranino dyes from aqueous solution.
