Abstract:

In the present study, determination of dextrose is investigated based on silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)formation . In this green chemistry method, silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)were synthesized in the natural polymeric matrix.Silver nitrate, gelatin, dextrose and water were as the silver precursor, stabilizing agent, reducing agent and solventrespectively. The obtained nanoparticles were characterized by means of UV–Vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infraredspectroscopy (FT-IR) and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Due to remarkable change in the localizedsurface plasmon resonance (LSPR), absorbance strength the amount of dextrose could be investigated which have beenmonitored as a suitable signal for determination of various concentrations of dextrose solutions. Beer's law is obeyed inthe range from 0.01 to 0.025 M dextrose with limit of detection 0.003 M. Relative standard deviations for withinlaboratory repeatability (n=5) were in the range from 2.18 to 3.10.The proposed method Compared with other methodsfor determination of dextrose .This method was successfully applied for determination of dextrose in pharmaceuticalproducts.
