Fabrication of Fennel oil nanoemulsion by low-energy emulsification method

The formation of O/W nanoemulsions suitable for pharmaceutical and beverage application and for thesolubilisation of non-water-soluble essential oils, Fennel oil, have been studied in water/non-ionic surfactants/oil systems.Nanoemulsions where prepared by low-energy emulsification method using the non-ionic edible surfactants. A specificfocus was on the type of surfactants in emulsification to access the minimum nanoemulsion particle size. In the water ween20, tween80, hydrogenated castor oil fennel oil system, with increase in SOR, droplet size decreased and thelowest droplet size where obtained at 4 SOR.
