Abstract:

A series of nanocatalysts with different Mn/Ni ratio were synthesized by ultrasound irradiation for removal of toluene.Nanocatalysts were characterized by XRD, FESEM and EDX analysis techniques. XRD data confirmed the formation ofNiO crystalline phase. FESEM images showed size distribution of active phase particles in nanometric scale with averagesize of 50 nm. EDX analysis showed good dispersion of active phase on support. The results of toluene oxidationindicated that the synthesized nanocatalysts were highly active and stable in process of toluene removal. Catalyticperformance showed that Mn(7%)-Ni(3%)/CLT nanocatalyst is the best catalyst for removal of toluene among differentactive phase compositions, also this nanocatalyst was very stable in toluene destruction.
