Abstract:

The effect of addition of ceria on physicochemical and catalytic properties of CuO/ZnO/Al2O3 nanocatalystwas investigated. Different analyses such as XRD, FESEM and BET were performed and it was concluded thataddition of ceria on CZA nanocatalyst increases the dispersion and specific surface area and decreases thesize of copper and zinc crystals. The catalytic performance of synthesized catalysts for production ofhydrogen shows that CZA nanocatalyst has better conversion and hydrogen selectivity. But ceria doped CZAnanocatalyst produces lower CO which is because of storage properties of ceria.
