Quantum Yield Measurement of Rhodamine B Dye Solution with Au Nanoparticles

In this study, Au colloidal nanoparticle was prepared using laser ablation method. The linear optical behaviorsof Au colloidal nanoparticles, Rhodamine B dye solution and Rhodamine B with Au colloidal nanoparticle wereinvestigated. Optical absorption spectra of the samples have been obtained by spectrophotometry. The fluorescencespectra of the samples were studied and the fluorescence quantum yield of them was calculated. Our results indicate thered shift of the fluorescence emission about 12.1 nm in the case of dye with the presence of Au nanoparticles.
