خلاصه مقاله:
This article presents the effects of arc current and electrode diameter on nanoparticle size, morphology andoptical properties of silver nanoparticles prepared via DC arc discharge deionized water. The arc discharge is ignitedbetween two pure silver electrodes and colloidal silver nanoparticles are produced. Optical properties and morphologyof nanoparticles are analysed by UV-Vis spectroscopy and scanning electron microscope respectively. The resultsshowed that by increasing the electrode diameter, particle size is decreased. Size reduction of nanoparticles is due to thereduction of thermal effects on electrodes specially decreasing of thermal splashing.
