Effect of Multi Organic Structure Directing Agents in the Synthesis of Nano Sized ZSM-5

This paper aims to investigate the effects of multi organic structure directing agents in the synthesis of nanoZSM-5. A mixture of 2 or 3 structure directing agents is applied in the ZSM-5 zeolite synthesis and the results ofsamples crystal size and phase are compared to ones which are produced by a sole structure directing agent. The resultsshow that application of multi structure directing agents lead to ZSM-5 phase formation but the crystal size andmorphology are not uniform, which can be modified by varying crystallization condition. Application of multi structuredirecting agents could be a method for reduction of synthesis costs by replacing expensive organic templates.
