Abstract:

ZSM-5 zeolite have received much interest due to its significant properties such as strong acidity and highsurface area .Major factors that are of concern in the synthesis of nanocrystalline zeolites are crystal size, synthesis time.Aiming at the identification of a new suitable approach for synthesis of ZSM-5 zeolite with small crystallization timeand particle size, we have used dry gel conversion as a new method. The samples, all of which synthesised by dry gelconversion (DGC) are inspected by means of X-ray diffraction. The particle size and crystallization time of two nanorange crystalline ZSM-5 samples obtained by dry gel conversion are compared with those of hydrothermal method. Thequite different from hydrothermal method with long crystallization time (120-48) and large particle size (μm), the drygel conversion gives less crystallization time (24-14) and small particle size(21nm<).
