Abstract:

Fatty acids coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles were applied for enrichment of some common using pesticides andprohibited persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in local real water samples prior to GC/MS determination. The mainfactors influencing the extraction efficiency including sample pH, extraction time, surfactant amount, desorptioncondition and nanoparticles concentration were optimized. Under the optimized conditions, a preconcentration factor of1000 was achieved. Limit of detection and quantification for the proposed compounds were in the range of 20-30 ng/Land 60-80 ng L-1 respectively. The proposed method was applicable for extraction and preconcentration of pesticides inreal water samples with the pesticides contents in the range of 60-800 ng L-1.
