Abstract:

Cobalt resistant microorganisms were isolated from industrial wastewater of Dimethyl Terephthalate plant, Isfahan, in order to eliminate of its cobalt content. From 65 lineages separated, 11 strains could to grow against 2mg-l of Co in the laboratory. Among them, lives biomass of C3-3 in the pH, rate of shaking and cellular density equal 5, 222rpm and 22 at the temperature, 323C, was able to eliminate 12.62 of Co from wastewater during 84h. The results were confirmed by using three-way factorial design in General Linear Model in SPSS15 and independent sample T-test. Morphological, physiological and the genetically identification 15SrDNA PCR sequencing showed that the strain is Xanthomonas fuscans subsp aurantifolii. This bacterium, in the comparison to others, had the most eliminating rate in the least time which was confirmed by statistical methods.
