Abstract:

Externally Bonded Reinforcement on Grooves (EBROG) is a new promisingmethod that has been introduced at Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) topostpone or eliminate debonding of FRP sheets from concrete surface inconcrete beams strengthened for flexure. Experiments have shown that theprobability of debonding when attached to concrete substrate using EBROGmethod is much lower than the other methods ; and in some cases debonding iscompletely eliminated . The aim of the current study is to examine the efficacy ofExternally Bonded Reinforcement on Grooves method on Concrete beams'loading capacity when used rebars under multilayer CFRP sheets analytical andcomparing it with the results of using rebars and one layer CFRP. For this purpose, beam specimens with dimension ١٢٠*١٤٠*١٠٠٠ mm were modeled in ABAQUSprogram and the results shown that loading capacity by Rebars and multilayersof CFRP is increased than using Rebars and one layer of CFRP .
