خلاصه مقاله:
Main contribution of this context is determining size and site Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) to improve several parameters of power system. The UPFC is regarded as one of the most versatile devices in the Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) device family. The proposed objective function is formulated to modify loadability margin and minimize power loss as well as improve voltage profile. This problem is optimized by Honey Bee Mating Optimization (HBMO) algorithm. The HBMO algorithm is one of particle swarm techniques which can be solved this complex nonlinear problem. Capability of the HBMO algorithm is confirmed by simulating on IEEE test system and comparing its results with genetic algorithm
