This paper deals with a control system of a hybrid STATCOM for reactive power control under linear and non-linear load condition. The hybrid STATCOM is formed by a 60-pulse converter 5th and 7th passive filters. The converter is a hybrid converter which is formed by 12-pulse converter and 5-level inverter. The presented control system is based on p-q theory. Simulation of the proposed control system is carried out in MATLAB/Simulink and the results verify the control system.
