A NiFe2O4/activated carbon magnetic nanocomposites was synthesized by hydrothermal method and was used as an adsorbent for the removal of direct blue dye from aqueous solution. The experimental data were analyzed by the Langmuir and Freundlich and Sips models of adsorption. Equilibrium data fitted well with the Sips model. The maximum adsorption capacity (qmax) of direct blue dye was 152.43 mg/g. Results was indicated that NiFe2O4/AC could be used as a promising and effective adsorbent to remove the anionic dyes.
