Abstract:

The Internet now serves as a useful tool for suppliers and consumers to communicate information and enable purchasing online. Tourism industry and Hospitality corporations have responded to the opportunities offered by e-commerce by developing web sites to take full advantage of the practical and creative business uses of the Internet. Online reservation services have changed the way travelers book their hotel rooms. The objectives of this study is to determine Criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of online hotel reservation websites from academia, the tourism industry, and tourists views perceive as effective online hotel reservation web sites. We choice 22 criteria included: Design, information Quality, Easy to use, Contact, special service, Customization and Subsidiaries. The results show that the ranking of active online foreign hotel reservation websites in Iran are: Zoraq, Ataland, Berimsafar, Hotelbama, and the last IHB.
