خلاصه مقاله:
Reshaping process is one of the common metal forming processes for producing tubes with Non-circular cross section. Signs of wear start to appear on rolls while the process is being performed for a long time. Due to sliding wear the initial geometry of rolls profile will be changed and some defects may arise and also overhaul of rolls so as to rework them is time consuming. The prediction of regions easy to wear on rolls is a considerable issue for roll designers. In this study the susceptible regions that undergo this phenomenon were predicted using 3D-FEM method. Furthermore, some applied ways to postpone wear in rolls have been presented. Finally, the obtained outcomes of analysis were compared with other researchers’ results.
