خلاصه مقاله:
A numerical procedure, based on a discrete elementmethod (DEM), for analyzing cold compaction ofspherical powders, is presented. Local contacts betweenparticles are described by a linear force–displacementrelation. Wearing on surface of die that affects ondie life and Energy consumption are important incompaction of powder and vary based on velocityof punch, coefficient of friction, size and type of particles.In the present work by using DEM the effects ofmentioned parameters on compaction process have beendemonstrated that have good agreement withexperimental results.
