خلاصه مقاله:
The experimental and numerical quasi-static crushing responses of rectangular closed cell thin-walled steel tubes were investigated. The numerical crush analysis of tubes was performed using the explicit finite element code ABAQUS. Satisfactory agreements were generally achieved between the finite element model and experimental deformed shapes, load–displacements and fold lengths. Different analyses were performed on rectangular tubes that have the same area and length with different geometry in order to achieve the best crashworthiness properties for which the energy absorption and peak load of these cross-sections were studied for diagnosing this idea.
