خلاصه مقاله:
Language teaching is not, by any means, a new endeavour. Like all teaching, teaching English can be at once rewarding and frustrating, creative and confining, inspiring and challenging for teachers. English is a foreign language. To teach it in a satisfactory manner good teacher of English is required. Much research has been developed in line with what is effective promoting teaching knowledge for efficient EFL teachers because an important area in teaching EFL is how the teachers develop this knowledge. This article focuses on developing teaching knowledge for efficient EFL/ESL teachers that they need to develop in order to teach effectively. This paper argues that in order to carry out this responsibility successfully, all English language teachers need to (a) know how language is acquired (b) understand the nature of language and language learning; (c) obtain as comprehensive as possible information about his/her students, and (d) understand how to evaluate and how to analyse to ensure effective implementation. Every language teacher should have a general understanding of these areas. Some of the main issues are discussed here which might be helpful to the teachers.
