خلاصه مقاله:
Electrocoagulation is an electrochemical process that has proven to be effective for wastewater treatment and water purification. In this research study, the electrocoagulation method that has based on electron exchange, flocculation and flotation was used for purification of wastewater of E-PVC unit in Petrochemical Companies. Most of contaminants of this unit contain suspended solids, dissolved solids and chemical oxygen. The results of the analysis show that density of flow, the number of electrodes and PH are the most important parameters. The flow density is the most influential parameter. Time and distance between electrodes are less effective than the original parameters that listed. In addition, an increased or decreased effect on the efficiency of the surface response evaluated. Results showed that electrocoagulation process could conveniently remove major pollutants in the E-PVC unit.
